Our apps, on every major store since 2017
A-TECH has published software to the public app marketplaces since 2017 — starting with a single Android utility, and maintained on every platform our users asked for since.
Where to find us
Our publisher pages on each marketplace. Every app we publish is signed, maintained and updated by the same engineering team that builds our enterprise platforms.
What we publish
Public tools and apps you can install today.
Writes a numeric amount out in words for cheques, invoices and contracts — in French, Arabic and English, with the irregular forms and agreement rules handled correctly.
It started with one small utility
In 2017 we published our first app to Google Play: a single-purpose tool that writes a numeric amount out in words, the step that is legally required on every cheque and invoice and the one people most often get wrong.
We shipped it because our own team kept needing it. It spread by word of mouth among accountants, businesses and administrations, and passed 20,000 active users without any marketing behind it.
Then it followed its users
Android was the right and only place to start in 2017. But people asked for it at their desk, on iPhone, and in a browser — so we followed them onto each platform rather than asking them to change how they work.
Publishing to four marketplaces means four review processes, four release pipelines and four sets of platform rules to keep current. We treat that as ordinary maintenance, the same way we treat the platforms we run for clients.
Why we keep publishing publicly
Most of our work is private — systems running inside a client's business that nobody outside it will ever see. Public apps are the part of our engineering anyone can install and judge for themselves.
They also keep us honest about the things enterprise work lets you postpone: cold-start performance, offline behaviour, accessibility, and getting Arabic right rather than approximately right.
